Frequently asked questions
Why should I lease a Payment terminal?
There are plenty of reasons to think of leasing a Payment terminal instead of buying one. A lease subscription costs no (additional) investment. It is also possible that the time span of your business is not yet certain, for example a pop-up store. In that case, a 1-year lease offers a solution.
Whichever Payment terminal you choose, you can certainly lease it besides buying it!
How can I exchange my current SEPAY payment terminal for a new payment terminal?
Any customer who is in the final year of their contract has the option with us to switch to a new Payment terminal or another form. We do not charge a registration fee of €54.00 for this when the agreement is concluded with Buckaroo and the transaction processing is not done via third parties.
How long does a transaction over the mobile network take?
A transaction over the 4G network takes an average of 3 seconds, over GPRS an average of 6 seconds. The speed of transaction processing depends on the available bandwidth at your location. If reception is less strong, this operation may take longer.
What can I do in case of a power outage or network failure?
If the payment terminal in your shop is not working, for example due to a power failure or because the mobile network is (temporarily) unavailable, there are always alternatives to still offer customers a possibility to checkout. Of course, a cash payment is an option, but it is also possible to have the customer sign a SEPA Single Authorisation Debit. The customer thereby authorises the merchant to have the amount debited once from the account.
How does Buckaroo invoice my incurred fees?
Your monthly invoice will be offered electronically via your ‘My SEPAY’ page and can be sent to an email address to be specified by you. If our collection is unsuccessful, you will receive an email notification from us with a payment deadline. You can still transfer the amount due to us, stating your debtor number and invoice number.
If no payment is received from you within the stipulated period, your Payment terminals will be blocked and the claim handed over to LAVG. There are costs associated with summonses, blocking and unblocking. Only after we receive the outstanding amounts from you will your Payment terminals be reactivated.
