Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Billink?

Billink is a payment method that allows customers to receive their order first and pay later. After a real-time credit check, the order can be shipped immediately, while the customer receives an invoice afterward.

Billink operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany, and is expanding to France, Austria, and Denmark.

For webshops, Billink takes over the entire payment and credit risk, including invoicing and debt collection.

How does Billink work?

During checkout, you select Billink as your payment method. Billink performs a short real-time credit check. If the payment is approved, the webshop can ship the order immediately. After delivery, you’ll receive an invoice by email or in the Billink app, which you pay within the specified term—usually 14 days.

For webshops, this means:

  • Fast approval and payment

  • No risk of non-payment

  • Full handling of invoicing and follow-up

How do you pay with Billink?

You can pay via:

  • iDEAL (Netherlands)

  • Bancontact or bank transfer (Belgium)

  • SEPA bank transfer (EU)

  • The Billink app, using a QR code or direct payment option

The app provides a real-time overview of outstanding invoices, payments, and reminders.

How long do you have to pay with Billink?

The standard payment term is 14 days after the invoice date. Some webshops offer a longer term, such as 30 days. Different agreements may apply to business customers.

How secure is Billink?

Billink fully complies with European PSD2 regulations and GDPR.
Credit checks and customer verification are performed in real time, using strong encryption and secure connections.

For webshops: the full payment risk lies with Billink, not with you as the merchant.

What is Billink One?

Billink One is Billink’s next-generation checkout. It combines all payment options (post-payment, direct, or partial) into one seamless payment flow.

If a customer is not approved for full post-payment, Billink One automatically offers an alternative, such as a deposit or direct payment.

Advantages of Billink One:

  • 100% acceptance flow (never a rejection)

  • Fewer dropouts during checkout

  • Always purchase protection

  • Ready for the new European CCD2 regulations

What does Billink cost?

For consumers: free, as long as the invoice is paid within the payment term.
Late payments may incur reminder or collection fees.

For webshops: a transaction fee per order, depending on volume and industry.
No fixed monthly fees via Buckaroo.

In which European countries is Billink available?

  • Netherlands

  • Belgium

  • Luxembourg

  • Germany

In rollout: France, Austria, and Denmark

In these countries, consumers can use Billink via local banks or international SEPA payments. For webshops, this means one BNPL solution for the entire European market.

Is Billink the same as Klarna, AfterPay, or Riverty?

No, but it belongs to the same category: Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL). Billink stands out due to:

  • Dutch origin and strong Benelux focus

  • High acceptance rate thanks to Billink One

  • Full purchase protection

  • Simple integration via Buckaroo

For webshops, this means: a local alternative with more control and higher conversion rates.

How do you delete your Billink account?
