What started as a small lunchroom has grown into a versatile hospitality concept. Entrepreneur Jasper van Ouwerkerk has more than proven that with his company Meneer Krokant. Together with an enthusiastic team of eight colleagues, he runs not only a lunchroom but also a sales service for a variety of products. Customers can enjoy items such as oliebollen and stroopwafels, and he also owns a unique ice cream cart. This requires a comprehensive but flexible payment solution.
In a DIY store and garden centre complex in Bodegraven, Jasper runs a lunchroom with around 25 seats. Visitors stop by for lunch, coffee and pastries. But there was room for more. The assortment was expanded with the delivery of pies, the sale of stroopwafels and later also oliebollen. And successfully so. Each year, around 60,000 oliebollen are sold!

“Most customers pay with their debit card or cash,” Jasper explains. “At events or during holiday periods, we also sometimes get international visitors. With our Buckaroo payment terminal, we can accept credit card payments by default, which is very convenient. This way, customers from abroad can also pay quickly and easily,” Jasper continues.
Jasper also has a positive experience with Buckaroo’s customer service. Because they had to sell at multiple locations on one day, he did not have enough payment terminals. That’s why he decided to rent an additional terminal for that period.
