Buckaroo Brings Apple Pay to Dutch Merchants

Utrecht, Netherlands - 11 June 2019 - Dutch payment service provider Buckaroo, today brings its merchants Apple Pay, which is transforming mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay that’s fast and convenient.

Apple premium reseller Amac is one of the first Dutch webstores offering their customers the possibility to pay online with Apple Pay. Buckaroo worked closely with MediaCT during the integration procedure. Apple Pay is also available in the Magento, WooCommerce and Shopware webshop plugin, or available via SDK.

Fast checkout

Consumers can pay online via Apple Pay in two ways. Via the regular checkout or via a so-called fast checkout, where you can pay directly from the product page without the intervention of "a shopping cart". The consumer's address and payment details are already known to Apple Pay and therefore do not have to be entered again. The settlement process is thus considerably shortened.

Safe and fast

Payments via Apple Pay go according to the latest security standard that will start from September 14, 2019. Then strong customer authentication for online payment methods becomes mandatory. Payments must be confirmed via, for example, a generated e-code or password. Payments via Apple Pay are confirmed biometrically, via TouchID or FaceID.
